Job Title: Technician
Location: Coventry
Hours/Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent, salaried
Scope of the Role:
Reporting to the External Centre Manager (ECM) and Team Leader, the Technician will work as directed to complete maintenance and repair tasks, and return to service breakdowns in a timely fashion, supporting the requirements of the Customer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Team Leader in completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and complete work as directed.
* Attend breakdowns and faults promptly, repairing or escalating them as required.
* Identify ways to reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), supporting the ECM in implementing best practices to achieve this.
* Understand and work at all times in line with Fives Values and Directives, specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.
* Be available to undertake training and upskill as required.
Key Skills Requirements:
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
* Able to manage own time and meet tight deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and be flexible to support the operation and ECM.
* Good communication skills.
