Position Overview
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist to lead our Cardiac Rhythm Management service at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The position arises from progression of the previous post holder and requires a commitment of 50% clinical duties, including managing the CRM staff, developing educational programmes, and acting as deputy to the Principal Physiologist during absences.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, lead and manage the CRM service, including clinical duties and 50% time commitment.
* Manage the CRM staff, develop educational programmes, training, competency assessment, SOPs and clinical guidelines.
* Act as deputy to the Principal Physiologist during periods of absence and collaborate with other specialist lead physiologists.
* Integrate the forthcoming EPR system to ensure safe management of CRM patients.
* Lead and support the complex pacing service, including bradycardia work.
* Coordinate with surrounding hospital services for collaborative working and development of services.
* Manage resources within agreed budgets, authorise signatory when required, and ensure economical use of resources.
* Support operational management and leadership of clinical Cardiac Physiologists, including sick leave and annual leave administration.
Qualifications and Requirements
* BHRS/IBHRE accreditation is essential.
* On-call requirement for this position.
* Previous experience in a large implanting centre, delivering a full range of CRM procedures.
