About the Role: Sprinkler Design Engineer
Joining their UK-based team, you'll take on the role of a Sprinkler Design Engineer. Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll be responsible designing and coordinating fire sprinkler systems for a variety of buildings and facilities.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver compliant, high-quality designs for commercial fire sprinkler systems across a range of sites.
* Create and manage design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Act as the technical lead on design work, ensuring designs meet industry codes and internal QA standards.
* Liaise effectively with clients, installation teams, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
* Review and approve work from junior designers, offering feedback and mentorship where needed.
* Support technical site queries and contribute to continuous improvement across design processes.
* Ensure designs are practical, installable, and optimised for safety, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in commercial fire sprinkler system design.
* Comfortable working autonomously without daily support or oversight.
* Strong knowledge of fire protection standards such as BS EN and preferably LPC rules.
* LPCB FHC qualification preferred (or working towards it).
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools; Revit experience welcome but not essential.
* Clear communicator with confidence to engage clients and contractors on technical matters.
* Strong attention to detail and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
Package:
· Salary: £40,000 - £57,000 per annum (DOE)
