An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Assistant Manager Position within the Learning Disability Day Support Service covering the Community Inclusion Team
Community Inclusion Team is a community-based day service for adults with a Learning Disability that operates across West Lothian Communities.
There is an office base in Livingston, that you will be required to access in the week on various occasions. The service supports individuals through face to face contact, to access a range of community based meaningful, needs led activities meeting individual outcomes.
The successful applicant will lead the staff team on a full time, permanent basis to develop and deliver a stimulating individual outcome focused service in line with West Lothian Council and Care Inspectorate guidance, policy & procedure, as well as National Strategies.
For this post you will need to have a proven record of managing a team within the sector and extensive experience of supporting adults with a Learning disability ideally within the day support service. Evidence of scoping local communities for opportunities and supporting suitable volunteer opportunities would be a significant advantage.
It will be essential for applicants to have had experience of working in management teams supporting Adults with a Learning Disability and knowledge of care and support planning. You must also hold a min of HNC Social Care & SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
The post will be 36hours per week, working Monday to Friday on a set shift pattern.
You must be able to meet the essential criteria and communicate with a wide variety of people both verbally and in writing as well as have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
