SEN Teaching Assistant Role – Rotherham
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs
2. Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
3. Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
4. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
5. Implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
6. Promote inclusion and positive learning behaviours
7. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Rotherham, you should have:
8. Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school
9. Experience supporting pupils with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs)
10. Strong behaviour management skills
11. A calm, nurturing approach
12. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
13. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
