Key Responsibilities:-
1. Manage and troubleshoot IT Systems infrastructure function at the Piramal Pharma Solutions site at Morpeth
2. Function as level technical escalation for on-site IT Support engineers and the occasional consultants/contractors for project specific work
3. Monitors key service metrics (quality measures, customer satisfaction ratings, service level objectives, etc.) against plan and adjusts processes as appropriate
4. Provides support to IT operations and Application teams in areas of technical assessments and/or design of appropriate IT infrastructure setup
5. Works with and co-ordinates with Corp IT and/or vendors for Level | support and other complex issues that may require advanced technical assessments and/or changes to existing solution components
6. Establish priorities, timelines, and ensure appropriate resources are available for projects/initiatives
7. Regular reporting to operational management regarding operations, updates related to IT Infra
8. Working on one or more projects concurrently whilst being responsible for the support and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure setup.
Competencies:
9. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Professional certifications like MCSA/MCSE, VCP, or CCNA/CCNP would be desirable
10. Excellent IT skills including exposure to end user services technologies and products
11. Strong diagnostic skills and a working knowledge of current technologies
12. Intermediate understanding of datacenter, networking and security services and technologies
13. Keeps current with emerging security alerts and issues
14. Ability to learn or conduct research into new and/or emerging technologies, trends, etc as required
15. Proven project planning and management experience
16. Business Intelligence experience is desirable
17. Strong SQL/Oracle Database Administration Desirable
18. Ability to build and develop both formal and informal professional networks
19. Volunteers to identify and address existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities
20. Collaborates with other members (local on-site IT Support, stakeholders, Corporate IT Infrastructure etc s) in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals
21. Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical and business concepts, ideas, opinions and conclusions orally and in writing
