Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welding Tutor / Assessor to deliver high-quality practical and theoretical welding training. The role involves teaching learners, assessing their skills, and supporting them throughout their programme to ensure they gain recognised qualifications and are workplace-ready.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging welding training sessions, including MIG, TIG, and MMA techniques.

Assess learners’ practical skills and theoretical knowledge using approved assessment methods.
*
Provide ongoing guidance and support to learners to help them achieve their qualification goals.
*
Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessments, and feedback.
*
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment in the workshop.
*
Keep up to date with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and assessment best practices.
*
Collaborate with other staff to continuously improve the quality of teaching and assessment.
Ideal Candidate / Required Qualifications
*
Strong practical experience in welding (MIG, TIG, MMA) and relevant industry experience.
*
Teaching qualification desirable but not essential – willingness to complete with support.
*
Assessor qualification (A1 / TAQA) desirable but not essential.
*
Passionate about supporting learners to develop skills for meaningful careers in welding and engineering.
