Head Chef – Stunning Venue in Southport Salary: Up to £45,000 per year tips Hours: 5 days over 7 | Approx. 45 hours per week Start Date: ASAP We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a beautiful and busy venue in Southport. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business going through a period of growth and transformation, with a strong focus on quality dining and events. The role involves creating and delivering a fresh, seasonal menu, with a focus on breakfast and brunch service, moving into a high-quality late afternoon and evening menu. You will also oversee regular functions and banqueting events, so experience in this area is essential. You’ll be leading the kitchen aiming to deliver 1,000 covers per week, while maintaining excellent standards and driving profitability. Key Responsibilities: • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards and smooth service • Develop and deliver seasonal menus and function packages with the Heads of Department. • Manage stock levels, control costs, and achieve GP targets • Recruit, train, and develop a motivated kitchen team • Plan ahead for busy services and events • Work closely with management to grow sales and enhance the venue’s reputation About You: • Proven Head Chef experience within fresh food kitchens • Strong function and banqueting experience • Excellent organisational and time management skills • Commercial awareness with experience achieving and exceeding targets • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development • Passionate about fresh, quality food and delivering a great customer experience This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Head Chef to take ownership of a kitchen and help shape the future of a venue that’s set to become one of Southport’s go-to destinations for great food and events.
