We’re currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Darlington on a long- or short-term basis starting after Easter.

Main responsibilities of Early Years Teaching Assistant will include:
1. Supporting pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including those with SEND
2. Assisting with the delivery of engaging Early Years activities and lessons
3. Helping maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
4. Preparing classroom resources and supporting daily routines
5. Supporting behaviour management and encouraging pupil engagement
Requirements or Skills of Early Years Teaching Assistant:
6. Recent experience working in a school or nursery setting
7. Solid numeracy and literacy skills
8. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience
9. Experience supporting children with additional learning needs
10. Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
