Steyndent Ltd is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated qualified dental nurse or nearly qualified dental nurse to join our welcoming practice team. Job responsibilities
* Provide clinical assistance to practice clinicians, work with little to no supervision and carry out duties to the highest standard.
* Assisting the dentist during a range of treatments and procedures.
* Preparing and sterilising instruments in line with infection control standards.
* Welcoming and caring for patients in a professional manner.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records.
* Supporting reception duties when required.
* Ensuring surgeries are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
* Following all CQC, HTM 01-05, and health & safety procedures.
* Preparing, mixing and handling dental biomaterials.
* Providing chairside support to the operator during treatment.
* Keeping full, accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
* Preparing equipment, materials and patients for dental radiography.
* Processing dental radiographs.
* Monitoring, supporting and reassuring patients.
* Giving appropriate patient advice.
* Providing support to the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency.
* Assisting reception when required.
Qualifications – Essential
* GDC registered (or eligible to register) – for Qualified Dental Nurse.
* Enrolled on a dental nurse course – for Trainee Dental Nurse.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Confident learning of new IT skills.
Knowledge – Essential
* Previous dental nursing experience.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
* Excellent people skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional.
* Enrolled on a dental nurse course (if not yet registered).
