SENIOR QUALIFIED PRIVATE CLIENT LAWYER
Location: Somerton
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office after induction period
Full or Part-time considered
We are a well-established firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services. Our Private Client team is experienced, collaborative, and focused on providing clear, practical advice to clients throughout every stage of their matter.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Private Client Lawyer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident legal professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
You’ll work on a varied and high-quality caseload, while playing an important role in mentoring of junior colleagues and supporting the continued growth of the team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with 5+ years’ PQE and proven experience managing complex matters independently.
The Role
Deliver expert legal advice on a range of private client mattes, including but not limited to:
* All aspects of Wills work.
* Setting up and management of lifetime trusts and oversee the annual tax returns.
* Manage estate and trust administration.
* Provide advice on inheritance tax planning. Have a working knowledge of all capital taxes.
* Manage a portfolio of clients where we hold Lasting Powers of Attorney including both Property and Financial Affairs LPA's and Health and Welfare.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of private client law, tax, and compliance developments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to legal accuracy and risk awareness
* Deliver high quality and sympathetic client care, building a good rapport with existing clients, local accountants, financial advisors, and attract new clients.
