SATs prep. Last-year jitters. End-of-year leavers’ assembly. Year 6 needs you.
We’re working with a fantastic primary school looking for a proactive and caring Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 team from September. This is a key role—helping pupils prepare for SATs, stay motivated in their final primary year, and feel ready for the big move to secondary.
What the role includes:
* Supporting pupils with English, maths, and SATs revision—both in class and through small-group work
* Helping with emotional support and transition readiness
* Working alongside the class teacher to keep routines on track
* Providing a listening ear, a steady presence, and the odd motivational boost!
About you:
* Experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally Year 6
* Confident supporting learning in core subjects
* Calm, approachable, and organised
* Able to build strong relationships with pupils—and keep expectations clear
* SATs experience is a bonus, but not essential
