Are you a skilled freight forwarder with a passion for client service and operational excellence? The Cardinal Partnership is on the lookout for anImport Account Manager to join our Ocean Imports team. In this key role, you’ll manage sea freight import shipments from origin to delivery, working closely with clients, suppliers, and international agents to deliver a seamless experience. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full sea freight import process, from origin to delivery.
Liaise with overseas offices and agents to coordinate shipments.
Negotiate rates with suppliers to drive value for clients.
Select contracts and carriers suited to individual client needs.
Quote clients and monitor competitive market rates.
Keep clients informed with regular shipment status updates.
Ensure accurate documentation for customs clearance.
Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and hauliers.
Resolve delays and issues promptly.
Invoice and cost files with accurate margin control.
Attend client visits with the sales team to build lasting relationships.
