Overview
Are you an experienced project manager with a strong technical background in water treatment, mechanical, or building services engineering? We"re working with a well-established specialist engineering company that designs, builds, and installs bespoke water treatment systems across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Project Delivery Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of equipment projects — from design and build through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
As Project Delivery Manager, you"ll take ownership of multiple projects across the UK, ensuring each one is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You"ll liaise closely with clients, internal engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth coordination from initial design to final handover.
Responsibilities
* Manage multiple concurrent water treatment or mechanical projects from award to completion.
* Serve as the main client contact during the delivery phase, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
* Work collaboratively with internal design and engineering teams to plan delivery schedules and allocate resources effectively.
* Oversee procurement, logistics, and site installation activities.
* Conduct site visits, risk assessments, and progress reviews.
* Ensure health & safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
* Monitor budgets, track project progress, and report to senior management.
* Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
About You
* Proven experience managing technical engineering projects within water treatment, mechanical, or building services sectors.
* Strong understanding of water systems, mechanical plant, or related engineering disciplines.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites nationwide.
Desirable
* Qualification in project management (PRINCE2, APM, or PMP).
* HND/HNC or degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
* Familiarity with relevant water treatment standards and regulations (e.g., HTM 04-01, WRAS, BS EN).
