We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Healthcare team at HMP Drake Hall, a women’s closed prison located in Eccleshall, Stafford. In this role you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including an ACP and NMP to deliver high quality healthcare services. Ideal applicants will have a special interest in female health and experience with LARC insertion and removal. The site is opening a healthcare hub focusing on female specific health needs such as pregnancy, menopause and sexual health; the GP will be actively involved in the hub.

Wednesday 8am-4.30pm
Friday 8am-4.30pm
Salary
Part‑time role working 24 hours per week. Annual salary £119,140 up to £122,886 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients and thereby develop your knowledge in areas you would not usually experience within a practice or an A&E environment.
* Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients and make timely decisions regarding future management.
* Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, with active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
* MBChB or MBBS
* Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
* Experience working as a GP in community general practice
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
* RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
