Deputy Ward Manager – Oxford (Full Time, Permanent)
Location: Oxford Hospital – The Manor. Contract: Permanent Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: Competitive.
Job Overview
Deputy Ward Manager responsible for the efficient running of the ward, supporting and deputising for the Clinical Head of Department as required, and ensuring patient care, safety and a positive patient experience.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient running of the ward and support the Clinical Head of Department.
* Exercise excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the MDT, Consultants and Patients.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and a "can‑do" attitude.
* Co‑ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety.
* Champion a patient‑focused, seamless and personalised care experience.
* Apply assessment, care planning and delivery skills.
* Promote a supportive, enabling working culture, staff safety and ongoing education.
Qualifications
* Registered with the appropriate governing body, including NMC.
* Relevant qualifications and experience in clinical leadership.
Experience
Experience leading clinical teams and managing ward operations within a large healthcare setting.
