Role Overview: The Senior Account Director is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing high-profile client accounts, driving new business development and managing and developing senior team members. In addition to strategic client leadership, this role plays a critical part in business growth, team development, and agency-wide leadership.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and direct a portfolio of high-profile fashion clients and special projects, ensuring best-in-class strategy and execution.
* Lead big-picture strategic thinking, ensuring DH—PR remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovation.
* Act as the first point of contact for senior-level client and media relationships, fostering long-term partnerships.
* Oversee the execution of multi-channel PR strategies, ensuring alignment with client business goals.
* Drive high-profile media placements, securing impactful editorial, influencer, and VIP partnerships.
* Take full responsibility for press strategies, client retention, and business growth, working closely with other Directors as well as Account and Senior Account Managers.
* Proactively manage client expectations, complex situations, and high-pressure brand moments, ensuring seamless problem-solving.


Business Development & Agency Growth

* Lead and drive new business development, identifying and securing high-value client opportunities, brand partnerships, and revenue streams.
* Oversee and spearhead client pitches and proposals, working with senior leadership to expand DH—PR’s portfolio and reputation.
* Play a key role in expanding DH—PR’s fashion division, solidifying the agency’s presence in this sector.
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive agency growth, client acquisition, and industry partnerships.
* Represent DH—PR at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, strengthening the agency’s profile and relationships.
* Work closely with the Founder and Managing Director to refine internal processes, optimise efficiencies, and elevate creative and strategic output.
* Lead and inspire the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
* Oversee budget management and financial planning for major client accounts, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
* Act as a senior industry representative, fostering relationships with high-profile press, stylists, and influencers.
* Secure high-impact, brand-defining coverage, ensuring consistent press momentum across print, digital, and social platforms.
* Drive long-term VIP and talent strategies, identifying global opportunities for dressing, collaborations, and placements.
* Oversee and approve all press materials, media pitches, and key messaging, ensuring they reflect the agency’s high standards.


Events, Brand Partnerships & VIP Initiatives

* Take full ownership of Fashion Weeks and other key industry events, leading press, VIP, and team management.
* Oversee the execution of major client events, runway shows, launches, and activations, ensuring strategic media impact.
* Lead high-level collaborations and brand partnerships, ensuring alignment with client and agency goals.
* Directly oversee VIP dressing and influencer engagement, managing relationships with top-tier stylists, celebrities, and agents.
* Manage and develop Account and Senior Account Managers, ensuring strong leadership across teams.
* Work closely with the Managing Director on recruitment, team structure, and HR development.
* Provide high-level mentorship, setting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
* Conduct performance reviews and senior training sessions, ensuring best practices across all accounts.
* Uphold agency values internally and externally, acting as a senior stakeholder and role model.
* Oversee client budgets, financial planning, and agency profitability, ensuring commercial success.
* Work closely with senior leadership to streamline operations and improve internal efficiencies.
* Play a key role in agency-wide decision-making, contributing to overall business strategy and planning.


About You

* Minimum 10+ years’ experience in PR, communications, or media relations, with a strong background in luxury fashion, beauty, lifestyle.
* Established senior-level relationships with key editors, stylists, influencers, and industry leaders.
* A visionary leader, able to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
* Extensive experience in new business development and client acquisition, with a proven ability to drive agency growth.
* Strong presentation and pitching skills, with experience leading new business proposals.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and overseeing commercial operations.
* Exceptional people manager, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Comfortable in high-pressure situations, able to make strategic decisions with confidence.
* Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating calmness, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
* Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling client and agency information.
