A position has become available to join the team to support our client who is a 12-year-old young woman who has an acquired brain injury.
Our client requires close and effective support in order for her to maintain age-appropriate standards of personal care, life skills and behaviour.
Our client requires motivational support in order for her to access educational and recreational activities.
The role involves supporting the client within her own home and in the community.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
· Sensitivity and discretion necessary to working within a client's own home.
· Ability to absorb complex information and training provided by the Case Manager the Special Needs Education Adviser and the Neuropsychologist and to demonstrate accurate implementation of instruction and guidelines.
· Effective team working skills.
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
· Behaving within the good practice guidelines and standards of consent outlined in 'The Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England'.
· To Maintain accurate records.
Summary
The successful candidate will be employed on a bank basis.
You will be integral to providing essential care and support to our client, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with our client and their family.
Although the post holder will be employed on a bank basis there is a guaranteed 9-12 hours per week with additional hours at weekends available. Hours available: Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri 3pm until 6:30pm.
