In this Logistics Team Leader job in Berinsfield, you will support the management of warehouse and stores operations while remaining hands-on within the working environment. Responsibilities include:
4. Supervising, coordinating, and supporting a team of logistics and stores operatives
5. Leading regular team stand-up meetings to communicate priorities, objectives, and key updates
6. Enforcing health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance with company procedures
7. Overseeing the storage, kitting, and dispatch of goods and materials
8. Maintaining accurate stock records using the inventory management system
9. Ensuring FIFO principles are followed, with attention to product life cycles
10. Conducting stock checks and supporting internal and external audits
11. Allocating work and monitoring performance to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met
12. Investigating and reporting stock discrepancies, damages, or delivery issues
13. Ensuring kits are correctly allocated and processed within internal systems
14. Supporting training and development of team members
15. Liaising with procurement, production, composites, and other departments
16. Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting efficiency initiatives
17. Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-managed warehouse environment
18. Providing hands-on operational support, including forklift operation when required
19. Managing off-site storage and supporting effective stock rotation
20. Working closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure mechanical handling equipment is serviced and maintained

You will demonstrate: Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role Background within a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally manufacturing Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics procedures Good computer skills with experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar Forklift licence preferred, with training available if required Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
