Production Operative – Newton Heath (M40)
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our well-established client based in Newton Heath (M40). Shifts
• 12-hour rotating shift pattern• 4 day shifts: 06:30 – 18:30• 4 days off• 4 night shifts: 18:30 – 06:30• 4 days off• Pattern repeats
Rates of Pay
• £12.75 per hour• Pay increase after 12 weeks

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Production Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Working on a production line within a hot food manufacturing environment• Overseeing machinery and ensuring efficient production output• Packing products to specification and carrying out quality checks• Responding to machine or product issues and reporting to supervisors• Completing all relevant production paperwork accurately• Maintaining high safety and hygiene standards in line with H&S and Food Safety regulations• Setting up and operating bagging machines, sealers, check weighers, metal detectors and basket fillers• Monitoring product quality (weight, temperature, etc.) and recording information• Ensuring equipment is safe and operating correctly, escalating issues where required
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Production Operative, you will need:
• Communicative level of English• Safety boots and hi-vis (PPE required)• Minimum 6 months’ experience in one of the following:• Bakery production• Food manufacturing• Factory manufacturing environment• Machine operating
Desirable Experience
• Good communication skills and positive attitude• Good level of numeracy skills• Flexible approach to work• Food Safety and Health & Safety knowledge
Training Provided
• 6-week structured training programme• Interview and site tour prior to starting• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
