Position Title: Switch Gear & Controls Engineer
Duration: Contract
Location: Leamington Spa / Woking / Bicester
Outside IR35 - 42 hours per week
Hybrid 3 days on-site
*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and support engineering delivery of interior switchgear systems from concept through production readiness
2. Lead and maintain DFMEA activities, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and tracked
3. Define, execute, and track DVP&R activities in line with programme timing
4. Support design development and technical change management, including late changes
5. Provide engineering support through tooling kick-off, development, and readiness for production
6. Act as technical interface with Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring alignment on requirements, timing, and quality
7. Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
8. Contribute to engineering reviews, programme milestones, and sign-off activities
Required Experience & Skills
9. Proven experience in automotive interior controls / switchgear / HMI systems
10. Strong working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP / V-cycle delivery
11. Experience managing supplier engineering deliverables
12. Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling development and vehicle architecture
13. Ability to manage multiple priorities and late changes in a fast-paced, high-risk delivery-focused environment
14. Strong communication skills and ability to integrate quickly
15. Familiarity with electrical integration of switchgear systems
