Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
We are looking for a dedicated HR Adviser to provide a high-quality, consistent HR payroll and pension service. The role involves handling a range of complex transactions from across Council services and external customers, ensuring compliance, effectiveness, and timeliness, while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Main duties include:
1. Processing HR Payroll/Pension transactions for internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with Council policies, terms, conditions, and regulations.
2. Engaging directly with customers through various channels, providing coaching, advice, and guidance, and ensuring transactions are completed efficiently within agreed timescales.
3. Developing strong relationships internally and externally to support HR service objectives and enhance the customer experience.
4. Using appropriate systems to process payments and pension data transactions.
5. Providing consistent customer service for the HR Payroll/Pension function and broader HR services.
6. Assisting with key initiatives within the HR Service as required.
7. Supporting the accurate and timely delivery of regulatory payments and pension returns to meet compliance deadlines.
8. Contributing to payroll/pension success measures to ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and legislative standards.
9. Promoting effective team working, supporting new initiatives with Team Leaders and Payroll/Pension Specialists, ensuring transactions are planned and delivered within timescales.
10. Assisting with audit outcomes within the HR service and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place.

Our salary range typically reflects the starting salary, with annual increases until reaching the top of the range.
