Job description
We are a family-owned and independent growing group of veterinary practices, providing pet healthcare that is second to none. We are about to open our 9th state of the art practice with plans to open many more over the coming years, and are looking for a Finance Assistant to support our Central Team Support Office and ongoing growth. We are based in a brand new central Leeds office, but this role may involve occasional travel to our clinics nationwide. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a huge passion for pets and wants to be part of this exciting journey.
Key responsibilities
* Processing purchase invoices & reconciling supplier statements as well as preparing payment runs
* Reconciling company credit card statement
* Review and processing expense claims
* Producing daily, weekly and monthly financial & operational reports
* General administrative work such as online filing, scanning & emails
* Adhoc accounting duties
Development
There will be opportunities for personal development by enrolling onto a finance apprenticeship programme to gain your chartered accountancy qualification. You will receive training and support where you will gain a globally recognised qualification and establish a solid foundation for a successful career.
Key requirements
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Accounting or finance degree, or at least one years' experience in an accounting/finance role
* Loves pets!
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Excellent organisational skills
* A team player and positive can-do attitude, who is happy to help with all areas across Finance and Admin
