Overview
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our nursing team on a full-time basis. The role will be situated across both Yeovil and Sherborne sites, with a predominant focus on small animal nursing with occasional farm animal procedures to support.
We are looking for someone with a very strong team ethic, where the patient and client journey is of the highest standard. We are keen to support further learning and development with CPD, special interests and certificates encouraged.

Kingston Veterinary Group is a long established group of 3 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across three locations, offering Small Animal, Equine, and Farm animal care. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance. We prioritise staff wellbeing and development.
We have a purpose-built mixed premises located in Sherborne, including a dental suite, imaging suite, separate cat and dog and isolation facilities, laboratory room, farm procedure room and a large species split waiting room, along with offices and a nurse’s office.
What you'll bring
* Experience of working in veterinary practice with hands-on experience in a clinical setting
* Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to animal care and diagnostics
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy and understanding
Working hours
This position is 40 hours per week including a 1 in 4 Saturday rota.
