Overview
A Vacancy at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
The band 3 role in Haematology Day Unit is an essential part of our department that enables us to deliver safe, efficient care to patients in our busy Day Unit/Outpatient areas. Healthcare support workers are required to work with minimum supervision between our two areas, providing high quality same-day care within a multidisciplinary team for patients with blood cancers and blood disorders to ensure an excellent patient experience. Work under the supervision of healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to support individuals\' physical and emotional well-being and comfort throughout their care journey. The role also requires the smooth running of appointments by taking observations and blood tests in a timely manner and assisting with patient flow and unit coordination in a busy environment. Prioritisation of daily workload with minimal direct supervision from a registered nurse is essential.
