Contract Sheet Metal Worker (Outside IR35)
Location: Isle of Wight - Easily commutable via Portsmouth Hovercraft to Ryde (approx. 40 mins + 1 bus) or Southampton Red Funnel to Cowes (approx. 90 mins + 2 buses)
Rate: £30 - £35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Flexible working available
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
We are looking for a highly skilled Contract Sheet Metal Worker to support the manufacturing of precision components for the aerospace sector. This role demands a strong background in working with aluminium and the ability to maintain tight tolerances between 0.152 mm to 0.229 mm .
Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate sheet metal parts based on detailed engineering drawings.
*
Perform cutting, grinding, welding, and shaping of aluminium to precise specifications.
*
Ensure all work meets strict quality and tolerance standards.
Essential Requirements:
*
Proven background as a Sheet Metal Worker, ideally within aerospace or a similar precision-focused environment.
*
Expertise in working with aluminium.
*
Ability to achieve extremely fine tolerances (0.152 mm - 0.229 mm).
*
Skilled in interpreting and working from technical drawings.
