Key Responsibilities
As a Midday Meal Supervisor, your role will include:
* Supervising pupils during lunchtime in dining halls, classrooms, and playgrounds
* Supporting younger children or those with additional needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners
* Being aware of allergies, dietary requirements, and medical conditions
* Supervising outdoor play and indoor activities during poor weather
* Promoting inclusive play and teamwork among pupils
* Helping resolve minor disputes calmly and fairly
* Providing reassurance to children who may feel anxious or upset
* Administering basic first aid where necessary (training provided)
* Reporting accidents, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly to school staff
* Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and other lunchtime staff to ensure smooth routines
You will be a trusted, familiar adult that children rely on each day.
