Automation Technician (Mechatronics)The Opportunity:We encourage anyone interested in a career in engineering or looking to develop their skills within the automation field to apply for this amazing opportunity as an Automation Technician / Mechatronics Operator. Experience or an HNC, or higher, in any of the following areas will be considered:
* 6 axis articulated arm Robot programming experience
* Proficient in CNC Milling, CAM an advantage
* Knowledge of automation systems
* CMM Programming experience
* PLC or other logic-based programming experience
The Opportunity:In this developmental role you will:
* Create, verify and release robot programs for automated cells
* Provide critical help chain for manufacturing to reduce downtime of critical manufacturing equipment
* Create, verify and release programs for other, programmable manufacturing equipment Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
* Creating supporting documentation for automated equipment
* Support implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation
Preferred Skills:
* Minimum of a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
* Good understanding of tooling, fixture design and manufacturing processes
* Proficient in CAD with the ability to read engineering drawings
* This is a development role where training will be provided. But any experience, in any of the following areas, would be beneficial and show the transferable skills required to develop in the role:
* Robot programming experience
* CMM Programming / metrology
* CNC Milling experience with a desire to move into automation/robotics
