Overview
Our Shop Volunteers raise money for the people we support with a Learning Disability. This role offers a few hours a week in a retail setting, with flexible scheduling around store opening times and volunteer rotas.
In this role you may be sorting donations, dressing window displays or serving customers on the till. Its a great way to gain practical experience and meet people from different walks of life.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers on the till
* Take stock donations from the public
* Tag and steam stock for the shop floor
* Dress the window displays
* Encourage others to join us as volunteers
* Assist with activities in line with the Store Managers needs
As a Retail Volunteer you will be
* Friendly and approachable
* Reliable, kind and patient
* A good communicator (including listening)
* Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
* Respectful of others who might be different
