We are seeking an inspirational and passionate Art & Design Teacher to join our leading independent school known for its commitment to academic excellence and creativity.
About The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in Art & Design across all key stages, from KS3 to A-Level, inspiring students from Years 7 to 13 to explore their creativity, develop technical skills, and build confidence in a wide range of artistic and digital media. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s vibrant culture of exhibitions, competitions, and co-curricular opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Fine Art, Graphic Communication or related discipline and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), excellent subject knowledge with the capacity to inspire both pupils and colleagues and a passion for creative education and student development. Experience teaching Art and Design at a secondary level, preferably in an independent school, is required.
We are located in the picturesque village of Chigwell just 10 miles from central London and on the Central Line. Close to the edge of Epping Forest, we enjoy over 100 acres of beautiful grounds and excellent facilities.
