Overview
The Emergency Unit (EU) at Withybush General Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to undertake the role of Emergency Unit Receptionist. The post holder staffs the Reception Desk and facilitates the smooth running of the EU in conjunction with the EU Team.
Responsibilities
* Register all new EU patients, ensuring accurate filing, collection and onward transmission of all patient records.
* Take and relay information related to patient care; answer telephone queries in a courteous and efficient manner; refer queries requiring patient care/advice to a Registered Nurse.
* Inform the Nurse-in-Charge of any patient presenting in distress or who appears acutely unwell; report concerns about patients\' well-being, complaints or queries regarding a patient\'s condition to the relevant clinician.
Qualifications and requirements
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
