Role
A fantastic ASD school in Reading is seeking an ASD Teaching Assistant to support the academic, emotional, and behavioral development of students across both primary and secondary phases. The school caters to children with a range of needs, from high-functioning autism to those requiring more complex support. This full-time ASD Teaching Assistant role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM and provides a therapeutic approach to learning. Full training is offered to help you develop key skills in SEN and mental health support.
Responsibilities
* Support the academic, emotional, and behavioral development of students with ASD across primary and secondary phases.
* Work alongside trained therapists, counsellors, and psychologists to support learners.
* Contribute to behaviour management, emotional regulation, and the development of communication strategies.
