Summary of Role:
Reporting to the VP Product Management and Marketing, Power Product Line at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the Customer Product Ramp Manager owns the successful execution of critical customer programs from design win (DWIN) through volume production and revenue realization. This role lives and breathes high-priority customer ramps, ensuring that committed programs convert into on-time, on-volume and on-margin revenue. Acting as the single-threaded owner for customer ramps, this role drives cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain to remove obstacles, manage risk, and accelerate time-to-revenue. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on company growth and customer satisfaction.
The preferred location is Dallas, TX, Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA.
Essential responsibilities:
Customer Ramp Ownership
* Own a portfolio of critical customer programs from post-design win through production ramp and sustained revenue.
* Serve as the single point of accountability for ramp readiness, execution, and outcomes.
* Develop deep understanding of each customer's application, schedule, success criteria, and risk profile.
Ramp Planning & Execution
* Define and manage end-to-end ramp plans, including:
o Process readiness and qualification
o Manufacturing readiness
o Customer qualification milestones
* Track progress against ramp KPIs (schedule, yield, volume, revenue).
* Proactively identify gaps and drive mitigation plans to keep ramps on track.
Cross-Functional Leadership
* Lead cross-functional ramp reviews and execution forums.
* Drive alignment between:
o Product Management (roadmap, feature readiness)
o Engineering (process, validation, sustaining)
o Operations & Manufacturing (capacity, yields, cost)
o Quality & Reliability
o Sales and Account Teams
* Escalate issues with clear options, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
Revenue Conversion & Forecast Integrity
* Ensure committed DWINs convert into actual shipped revenue.
* Partner with Sales and Finance to improve forecast accuracy and ramp visibility.
* Track and report ramp health, revenue risk, and upside opportunities to leadership.
Customer Engagement
* Act as a trusted operational interface with key customers during ramp phases.
* Coordinate customer-facing reviews related to ramp status, risks, and recovery plans.
* Ensure customer expectations are clearly set and consistently met.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify systemic ramp issues and drive improvements in processes, tools, and handoffs.
* Capture ramp learnings and best practices to improve future execution.
Other Responsibilities:
· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
* 8+ years of experience in product management, program management, operations, or customer-facing execution roles
* Proven experience managing complex customer ramps in a hardware, semiconductor, systems, or platform environment
* Strong cross-functional leadership skills without direct authority
* Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity while driving clarity and execution
* Excellent communication skills—able to synthesize details into executive-level insights
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action
* Travel Requirements: ~25% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior ownership of post-design win execution, NPI, or production ramps
* Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain constraints, and yield dynamics
* Experience working directly with tier-1 customers
Expected Salary Range
$166, $319,000.00
