Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a DEM Specialist located in the Isle of Man. The DEM Specialist will conduct simulations, analyze data, and provide insights using Discrete Element Modeling tools to solve engineering challenges. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing simulation workflows, preparing technical reports, and presenting results to stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves problem-solving, implementing customized solutions, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and deadline requirements.
Qualifications
* Experience with Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) software, simulation tools, and related technologies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and application of engineering principles
* Proficiency in programming and scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and familiarity with numerical modeling
* Effective communication skills for technical report writing and presenting complex concepts to varied audiences
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage projects effectively
* Degree in engineering, physics, or a relevant technical field
* Knowledge of industries such as mining, manufacturing, or energy is a plus
* Knowledge of simulation tools and methods including FEM, DEM (desirable but not mandatory)
