Job Title: Commis Chef Location: Bannisters Kitchen, Boundary Outlet, Colne Hours: 40 hours a week working 5 days out of 7 About Us: Boundary Outlet is a leading retail destination with a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences in our in-store café and restaurant. Behind the scenes, our kitchen team works hard to deliver delicious food to our customers, and we’re looking for a dedicated Commis Chef to join the team. Role Overview: As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality food while ensuring a clean and organised work environment. Your role will be key to helping us deliver a fantastic dining experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients. Ensure meals are prepared to the correct specification. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment, work surfaces, and utensils are clean and sanitised. Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware efficiently. Support chefs and other team members during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed. Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations. What We’re Looking For: A hardworking and reliable individual with a team-oriented approach. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Good time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
