We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of key digital initiatives that are aligned with our 5-Year Plan. The role gives you the chance to deliver impactful business outcomes that transform how we work.
In Civil Digital & IT, we are at the forefront of unlocking Digital and IT capabilities across Civil Aerospace to achieve our corporate goals. Within the function, we have a strong ethos of empowering colleagues to be at their best while supporting their development and progression within their roles.
We’re also in the process of securing additional funding for our Customer and Aftermarket workstream, creating an exciting opportunity to launch and leads this new project, expected to deliver £65m in benefits.
Responsibilities:
The Programme Manager is responsible for the planning, delegation, monitoring, and control of all aspects of the project, and the motivation of those involved, to achieve the project’s objectives / output with the expected performance targets of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits, and risks.
You will be expected to own and lead Digital initiatives, including:
* Accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work within the project.
* Secure and manage the provision of resources needed for projects from internal and external providers.
* Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans and schedule
* Develop and manage project budgets, maintain oversight of forecast and actual costs, proactively monitor variances and drive corrective actions to maintain financial targets
* Establish, develop, and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package(s) of work within the project.
* Act as the focal point and escalation route for all aspects related to the packages of work within the project.
* Provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders.
* Identify and resolve conflicts amongst individuals and /or interest groups to main project alignment
* Organise and chair scheduled review meetings and report areas where executive decisions need to be made.

For the role of a Programme Manager, we are looking for someone who is/has:
* Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.
* At least 5 years’ experience in project management or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience of leading multi-functional teams would be an advantage.
* Strong proven relationship & stakeholder management.
* Experience of working in or with Innovation, Project Management, Business Analysis, Service Management, Strategic Planning or Change Management would be beneficial.
* Operates within defined standards and policies to address resource and operational challenges.
* Operates autonomously receiving guidance from manager when the impact is either broader, outside their team, or the subject matter expert is more complex.
