Internal Communications Specialist (12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC))
Any of the following offices: Bracknell, Birmingham, London or Stevenage. Travel may be required to other UK offices.

Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As an Internal Communications Specialist you will contribute to this by advising, creating, and delivering exceptional employee communications across the UK.
Your role will involve:
1. Collaborating as part of a team on cross-UK internal campaigns and initiatives, producing creative and engaging content for our employees.
2. Being a curious storyteller who proactively and creatively finds ways to engage our employees through the content you produce, to build trust, advocacy, and pride, alongside specific business outcomes.
3. Adhering to and advising on our brand guidelines, messaging, tone, with exceptionally high standards of writing and attention to detail, whilst championing accessible and inclusive content.
4. Comfortable with the use of – and further adoption of – AI in the support of assisting with content creation and its role in enabling good practice self-service communications across the business.
5. Owning and managing a range of internal communication channels including intranet, digital screens, email, newsletters, and viva engage, including scheduling and monitoring content, advising and upholding standards, and regularly reporting on performance against business objectives and suggesting improvements.
6. Coordinating the set up and professional technical running of hybrid and virtual large-scale events including townhalls and webcasts, as well as in person events such as roadshows and briefings.
7. Proactively seeking and amplifying customer, employee, and other relevant news from the business through local, UK, and broader channels as appropriate and in a proactive timely manner, with close collaborative working relationships with the wider internal comms community.
8. Occasional travel to sites, meetings, and events in support of content creation, including confidence to brief and converse with senior leadership and external stakeholders as necessary.
Your transferable skills and experience:
9. Experience in internal communications, communications, marketing, events, or a creative environment
10. Exceptional written communications (English) and impeccable attention to detail
11. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation
12. Able to work independently and as part of a broader comms or virtual team, often delivering and / or contributing to multiple communication activities and projects at once
13. Digital fluency, including experience with intranet platforms, analytics tools, and communication technologies
14. Passionate about internal communications as a profession, the positive impact it can have and your own personal development within it.
