The Chief Clinical Information Officer CCIO providessenior clinical leadership for digital transformation at County Durham andDarlington NHS Foundation Trust. Acting as the bridge between clinicians anddigital teams, the CCIO ensures the Electronic Patient Record (Oracle HealthMillennium) and other systems are co-designed, clinically safe, and deliverbetter patient outcomes, safety, and staff experience.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape theTrusts digital future, with a decade-long EPR partnership and a bold digitalstrategy aligned with What Good Looks Like, Anologue to Digital. You willinfluence and support the delivery of the digital strategy, champion clinicalengagement and digital literacy, and lead innovations that improve care qualityand sustainability, supported by a strong culture of research, innovation, andprofessional development.
Main duties of the job
The CCIO will lead and champion clinical digitaltransformation across the Trust. They will-
Work closely with clinicians, the CIO and CNIO to shape anddeliver the Trusts Digital Strategy and EPR roadmap.
Ensure digital systems are designed and used to supportsafe, effective and sustainable care.
Act as the key link between clinical services and digitalteams, capturing clinical needs and translating them into practical digitalsolutions.
Promote clinical engagement and digital literacy across allstaff groups.
Oversee clinical safety for digital change, identifyingrisks and ensuring national standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Provide visible leadership, supporting testing,workflow design and training as a senior clinical advocate for digitalinnovation.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Job responsibilities
As Chief Clinical Information Officer CCIO you willprovide senior clinical leadership for the Trusts digital transformation. Working with the Chief Information Officer, Chief NursingInformation Officer and senior clinical colleagues, you will:
Shape anddeliver the Trusts Digital Strategy and EPR roadmap, aligned with nationalstandards such as What Good Looks Like.
Championclinical engagement and digital literacy across all staff groups.
Translateclinical needs into practical digital solutions, ensuring regulatory andclinical safety standards are met.
Providevisible leadership during system design, testing and workflow change,identifying risks and recommending mitigations.
Promoteinnovation, research and the use of technology to improve care quality,operational efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications
* Has to be a qualified doctor on the Medical register at at least middle grade level but preferably consultant level
Experience
* Demonstrate the ability to interact with wide range of specialties. Ability to inspire other individuals
* Have used Cerner EPR
