About the Role
Night Shift Machine Operator – Cookstown
Location: Cookstown
Hours of Work: 4 day week – Monday to Wednesday 3:45pm to 2:15am and Thursday 3:45pm to 1:15am
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate plasma and laser cutting machines to cut steel to required specifications
- Monitor cutting programs, check parts against drawings and adjust parameters as necessary
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with requirements
- Achieve target output while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with team on continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete daily safety checks and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hard‑working, good team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to develop skills and work overtime as required
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous; on‑site training will be provided
