The BVI Financial Services Commission (“the Commission”) is seeking to recruit a Content and Multimedia Officer I to complement the work of the Policy Development and External Relations Division (PDERD). The holder of the office of Content and Multimedia Officer ( CMO ) is expected to have a broad knowledge of the work of the Commission and, in that context, is responsible for managing the Commission’s website and its contents. Applicants should be independently motivated and able to work as part of a small but diverse team. Candidates must be able to adhere to the Commission’s service standards and strict requirements for confidentiality, demonstrate an ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities while maintaining keen attention to details and accuracy in the quality of work produced. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with tasks associated with the management of the Commission’s websites including but not limited to the following: Uploading and updating bios, libraries, and the lists of regulated entities Uploading and updating, as necessary, notices, reports, news articles, legislation and other documents Liaising where necessary, with the Commission’s developers to ensure the website is functional and maintained without interruption Monitoring and compiling analytics regarding site pages Assisting with website updates Manage the Commission’s intranet systems, and perform tasks such as unique content creation, posting news articles, uploading photos to the gallery, and running surveys; Implement the Commission’s social media plan by creating and actively posting content to its Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media spaces; Regularly assist with media monitoring tasks associated with social media and internet combing, particularly flagging concerning articles, conversations and blogs by residents in relation to the Commission and its licensees; Assist with the creation and design of newsletters and other publications for dissemination to the industry stakeholders, and the general public; Regularly utilise email marketing and automation platform applications (such as Survey Monkey, Mailchimp, Greenvelope, Vimeo, Zedesk, and Storyblocks and Motion Array) to send and receive information related to the Commission; Assist to provide official photography service for the Commission, and assist where necessary, to record, edit and/or produce audio, video, and photographs for internal and external viewing, including copying and editing material for internal and external publication; Engage with external and internal contacts in a professional and efficient manner; Assist to maintain internal and external web content, document management systems, contact databases and news archives; Assist with general media monitoring, collection and collation of news items and analysis of collated material Logically maintain website libraries and archives; Provide administrative support to both the Policy Development and External Relations Units of the PDERD to meet business deadlines; and Perform such other function or duty as may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience Required: Minimum qualification of an Associate Degree in Computer Studies, Web-Development, Programming or related field, or relevant certification with up to 3 years creative experience A second language a plus. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality. Excellent multitasking, planning, time management, typing and editing skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and other creative software. Good knowledge of social media operation and trends, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.
