Job Description
We are an independent pub company based in Woking looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join our growing team!
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the fresh food and beverage industry, particularly in a high turnover restaurant/bar.
Duties
* Assist the team in overseeing daily operations to ensure the smooth running of service.
* Motivate and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of service and performance.
* Ability to lead from the front.
* Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
* Manage stock levels, including ordering, maintaining stock accuracy and hitting GP targets.
* Working with the rest of the management team to hit wage % targets.
* Train new employees on service standards.
* Work with the management team to develop strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency
Experience
* Previous experience required in a hospitality or restaurant management role for a minimum of 1 year.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service standards
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by operational needs.
