Overview. An exciting new opportunity for an experienced powder coater to join a busy production facility. Successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high quality powder coated finish to customer specification across a range of internally manufactured components. This is a hands-on role requiring a technical knowledge of powder coating, starting from preparing the product, through setting up the plant to final quality checks. Immediate start is available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities. • Preparing metal components for coating, including, but not limited to, cleaning, masking and inspection. • Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens. • Apply powder coatings to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes in line with customer specifications. • Monitor coating thickness, colour accuracy, and surface quality throughout production. • Maintain equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation. • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily schedules and deadlines. • Maintain stock of powder coating materials. • Conduct final quality checks before dispatch. • Maintain a clean and organised working environment. Essential Experience & Skills • Proven experience working in a powder coating environment, either stand alone powder coating facility or within a production environment, from surface preparation through to final coating. • Strong understanding of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials. • Knowledge of different powder coating types and curing requirements. • Ability to identify surface defects and apply corrective measures. • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong time management and organisational skills. • Good communication skills both verbally and written. Desirable Skills (not essential) • Forklift license • Full UK driving license • Experience with assembly, packing, warehousing and customer deliveries. What we can offer • Competitive rate of pay – £13.00 to £16.00 per hour (depending on experience), paid weekly. • Mon-Thur 07:30 – 16:30, Fri 07:30 to 13:30. (40 hours total) • 20 days (hours equivalent) annual leave plus bank holidays. • Pension contribution (after initial probation period) • Occasional overtime available as and when workloads dictate. • On site parking.
