Part Time Support Worker (22 hours per week) - Bournemouth - BH10 (Kinson)
It is essential that all support workers hold a full UK/EU Driving License (Manual mobility vehicle). The rate is £12.85 per hour.
Whether you have experience or not, we will help support you to reach your full potential by providing all the necessary training, guidance, and support to complete your care certificate and further qualifications.
What will I be doing?
Supporting a gentleman in his 40s who is very sociable, active, and enjoys going out multiple times a day, including trampolining, swimming (1:1), and visiting places like Toby Carvery. He enjoys wheelchair walks and outings in his car, so you must be prepared to go out in all weather conditions.
He likes sensory stimulation at home, such as nursery rhymes and sensory toys. He has epilepsy (well-controlled), profound learning disabilities, and is partially sighted, requiring support with personal care, meal preparation, activities, and maintaining a clean and tidy home.
Due to his inability to communicate verbally and his need for sensory stimulation, he may exhibit self-injurious behaviour when bored or unable to go out. His family is actively involved, and it is important to keep them updated regularly.
When will I be working?
* 7am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10pm, with alternate weekends and one sleep-in shift per week.
