We are recruiting for a Business Change Manager. You will translate strategic direction, business priorities and outcomes into structured, strategically aligned change proposals including continuous improvement and small change. Drive successful delivery and ensure all initiatives begin with clear business requirements, measurable outcomes, strong analysis and adherence to architectural and portfolio standards. Support effective ongoing engagement with the business across the change portfolio.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Business engagement: Support the ongoing, strategic relationship management with a number of key business functions, engaging at all levels to understand, synthesise and translate business needs into clear, structured and deliverable change demand.
2. Strategy and planning: Support the ongoing development and maintenance of multi-year, value-driven roadmap(s) which define and shape the change portfolio in line with business demand
3. Portfolio options and analysis: Conduct structured analysis to define business problems, capability gaps, opportunities and user/operational impacts aligned to the Strategic Change Lead’s direction.
4. Portfolio shaping and prioritisation: Support the overall structure and definition of the change portfolio in conjunction with the business. Develop option papers with clear scope, outcomes, value, risks and alignment to strategy and architecture.
5. Project mobilisation: Collaborate across the Change function and wider teams to ensure new projects and initiatives are set up and mobilised effectively to ensure successful execution. Prepare investment options, value models and prioritisation evidence so initiatives enter the portfolio with clear intent, measurable outcomes and well‑defined risks.
6. Project management and delivery: Direct leadership of key business focused projects in the portfolio, supporting your business stakeholders with execution of change which drives business value.
7. Value and benefits management: Support the definition of portfolio and initiative‑level benefits and KPIs in line with value frameworks, ensuring measurable outcomes are established upfront and risks to value are identified early.
8. Continuous improvement: Support effective delivery of continuous improvement and ‘small change’ which drives measurable business value. Shape and ensure proportionate control of small change investment, applying structured prioritisation, impact analysis and risk reviews; producing quality artefacts; identifying architectural or cross‑domain impacts; and escalating effectively to ensure delivery
when complexity or issues arise.
9. Analysis and insight: Produce high‑quality business analysis including workshops, capability mapping, process analysis, user impact assessment and service readiness inputs.
10. Horizon scanning: Conduct horizon scanning and external impact assessments to identify regulatory, market and technology shifts and translate these into implications for the change pipeline.
11. Governance and documentation: Ensure effective decision making, understanding and alignment across the change portfolio. Prepare high quality documentation and governance artefacts for ideation, triage and prioritisation forums, ensuring clarity on scope, value, risks and dependencies while role‑modelling structured, transparent and inclusive ways of working.
12. Team contribution: Proactively support and drive successful delivery of all team objectives in line with strategic priorities, including the continuous improvement of Change processes and frameworks.
