We are seeking a motivated individual to support the work undertaken by the Brands and Trademarks Team, including filing, renewals and records. You will enjoy a varied workload, working alongside one other trademark formalities assistant, supporting partners and associates in the UK and those in our other international offices by supplying information to various, clients, trade mark offices or agencies around the world. You will also be responsible for maintaining our relevant databases accurately. Main duties and responsibilities Managing our in house Trade Marks Database (CPI) as well as our client’s database (Anaqua); Filing Design & Trade Mark Applications to the UKIPO, OHIM and WIPO and instructing agents worldwide Filing contentious instructions to UKIPO, OHIM & WIPO Reporting filing details, acceptance and publication to clients Attending to post and electronic communication via UKIPO, OHIM & WIPO Arranging records of UK & Overseas Assignments / Changes of Name and Address Attending to UK, OHIM, WIPO & Overseas Renewals Processing registration / renewal / assignment certificates Liaising with clients, overseas agents & trade mark attorneys to oversee turnaround of tasks Providing regular schedules and status reports to clients Setting up and monitoring watch notices Responsible for maintenance of UK IPO, WIPO and OHIM debit accounts Creating new files and managing file archive and retrieval systems Processing of invoices and billing guides Providing simple trade mark searches in UK / Overseas & in-house via Saegis The firm offers excellent prospects for career progression and our culture provides all our people with first-class support to achieve their ambitions and goals. Person specification Previous Trade Mark paralegal/administrator experience Good working knowledge of OHIM/UKIPO & WIPO web sites and forms Educated to degree level or equivalent Strong organisational skills Good attention to detail Good oral and written communication skills A proactive attitude with the ability to take the initiative and forward plan Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
