The Digital Design Setup Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, production-ready artwork files for sublimation printing. Working from 3D CAD designs and customer order forms, this role ensures all artwork meets client specifications, aligns with established templates, and is fully compatible with printing software and machinery. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage tight deadlines, and a methodical approach to file preparation.
* Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
* Starting salary: £27,500 per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret customer order forms and 3D CAD designs to create precise artwork files for sublimation printing
* Adapt and apply design templates to ensure consistency across products and orders
* Prepare, format, and export files to meet the technical requirements of printing software and machinery
* Verify artwork accuracy, including dimensions, alignment, color settings, and placement
* Ensure all files are print-ready, error-free, and compliant with production standards
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict production deadlines
* Communicate with internal teams to clarify requirements and resolve design or production issues
* Maintain organized file structures and version control for efficient workflow and traceability
* Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
Skills and Experience
* Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (e.g., CAD tools, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar)
* Strong understanding of file setup for sublimation printing and digital production workflows
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage tight schedules
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Experience working with templates, print layouts, and production specifications
* Previous experience in a print production or textile/custom product environment
* Knowledge of color management and sublimation printing processes
* Familiarity with RIP software and printing machinery requirements
