The role
Lead a high‑performing manufacturing site and drive long‑term operational excellence.
This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager to take full ownership of a complex, high‑volume manufacturing facility. You’ll shape the site’s strategic direction, elevate operational performance, and deliver sustainable growth through strong leadership, disciplined execution, and a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Owning full P&L, cashflow and ROI performance for the site.
* Leading the development and execution of the annual manufacturing and revenue plan.
* Providing positive, proactive leadership to managers and wider teams, ensuring capability growth and high engagement.
* Ensuring full compliance with EHS standards, driving year‑on‑year improvements and fostering a safe, healthy workplace.
* Maximising customer satisfaction through effective S&OP deployment, on‑time delivery and consistent product quality.
* Driving improvements in OEE, process capability, and operational efficiency.
* Leading cost‑reduction initiatives across all product lines to strengthen profitability.
* Managing inventory effectively to reduce days on hand and support cashflow.
* Acting as a change agent, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and best‑practice sharing.
* Building strong cross‑functional relationships with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and other key stakeholders.
* Supporting customer relationships, resolving issues professionally while protecting business interests.
* Championing lean manufacturing, digitalisation and technology‑enabled improvements.
* Overseeing capital investment planning, including the preparation and justification of capital appropriation requests.
* Ensuring product integrity and compliance with all quality standards, systems and customer specifications.
* Managing all activities involving hazardous materials in line with statutory and internal requirements.
* Leading recruitment, performance management, development, and organisational planning for the site.
What You’ll Bring
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or a related field.
Experience:
* At least 10 years’ experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 5 years in senior leadership, ideally with site‑level accountability.
* Experience in customer service, supply chain or continuous improvement is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and SMART methodologies.
* Proven leadership capability with the ability to inspire, coach and develop teams.
* Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
* Ability to work effectively across all levels — from shop floor to senior leadership.
* Highly organised, able to prioritise and deliver across multiple workstreams with minimal direction.
* A mindset focused on improvement, innovation and operational excellence.
