The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.
With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.
PR/Marketing Programme: This is a part-time, 12-hours-per-week, 12-week unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
The role focuses on heightening awareness of our work and includes:
* Creating a branding campaign
* Conducting informal focus groups and gathering feedback for market research
* Pitching story ideas to print, broadcast, and digital media
* Creating and implementing a fundraising strategy
* Planning, marketing, and presenting at informational meetings
* Utilizing social media and developing strategies for web-based messaging
* Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts
Experience: No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for people passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA or background.
Details: This is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.
Start Date: New programmes begin every month. You can choose your start month.
