Procurement Category Manager

NWSSP Procurement Services is an established employer that supports the delivery of goods and services to NHS Wales. This role involves managing the procurement workplan for the National Sourcing Energy team, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to deliver the category strategy in line with organisational and policy goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage procurement workplan for the National Sourcing Energy team
* Collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective delivery of the category strategy
* Deliver complex procurement projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Engage with contract legislation, compliance, and probity issues
* Deliver savings and manage risk
* Provide staff supervision
* Manage category and maintain stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* Qualified to CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent CIPS Knowledge / Experience
* Proven experience delivering complex procurement projects
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience dealing with contract legislation, compliance and probity issues
* Experience delivering savings
* Experience providing People/Staff supervision
* Experience managing risk
* Experience in Category Management
* Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders professionally
Desirable criteria:
* ILM Level 4
* Awareness of Quality Standards and ISO policies and procedures
* Experience with Business Planning
* Ability to understand a range of complex category product knowledge
* Welsh speaker
