In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver a genuinely customer-focused service that makes a real difference.
This unique opportunity combines practical, hands-on experience with focused self-study, enabling you to develop both personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will last 18 months, during which approximately 20% of your working week will be allocated to studying. We will provide you with the flexibility and support to learn while you work, but you will need to have the commitment and dedication necessary to successfully balance your studies with your day-to-day role.
You will undertake and complete various components of the Advanced Apprenticeship, which is likely to include a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Business Administration Certificate, Functional Skills, and Employment Responsibilities & Rights.
The role will offer hybrid working arrangements, with at least 2 days per week based at County Hall, Chichester, and up to 3 days can be worked from home. Final arrangements will be confirmed with the successful candidate.

Our work in Highways, Transport and Planning can vary significantly from day to day. Key responsibilities in this role will likely include:
1. Database maintenance and management.
2. Dealing with customer enquiries and liaising with stakeholders.
3. Administrative support for teams such as Road Safety, Active Travel, and Local Transport Improvements.
4. Transport coordination, administrative duties, and assisting service assurance.
5. Supporting operational and project meetings.
6. Communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Five GCSE passes at Grade C (4-9) or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent vocational qualification.
* A full valid UK driving licence and/or the ability to travel independently to offices and depots across the county.
* Some experience of offering a service to others and collaborating with others to achieve shared goals, whether through employment or extracurricular activities.
